"Nasihat yang boleh diikuti dalam membina persahabatan ialah sebagaimana pesanan al-Qamah (seorang sahabat Rasulullah saw) kepada anaknya:

Pertama, pilihlah sahabat yang suka melindungi sahabatnya, dia adalah hiasan diri kita dan jika kita dalam kekurangan nafkah, dia suka mencukupi keperluan.

Kedua, pilihlah seorang sahabat yang apabila engkau menghulurkan tangan untuk memberikan jasa baik atau bantuanmu, dia suka menerima dengan rasa terharu, jikalau ia melihat kebaikan yang ada pada dirimu, dia suka menghitung-hitungkan (menyebutnya).

Ketiga, pilihlah seorang sahabat yang apabila engkau menghulurkan tangan untuk memberikan jasa baik atau bantuanmu, ia suka menerima dengan rasa terharu dan dianggap sangat berguna, dan jika ia mengetahui mengenai keburukan dirimu ia suka menutupinya.

Keempat, pilihlah sahabat yang jikalau engkau meminta sesuatu daripadanya, pasti ia memberi, jikalau engkau diam, dia mula menyapamu
dulu dan jika ada sesuatu kesukaran dan kesedihan yang menimpa dirimu, dia suka membantu dan meringankanmu serta menghiburkanmu.

Kelima, sahabat yang jikalau engkau berkata, ia suka membenarkan ucapan dan bukan selalu mempercayainya saja. Jikalau engkau mengemukakan sesuatu persoalan yang berat dia suka mengusahakannya dan jika engkau
berselisih dengannya, dia suka mengalah untuk kepentinganmu.

Dalam memilih sahabat kita hendaklah memilih sahabat yang baik agar segala matlamat dan hasrat untuk memperjuangkan Islam dapat dilaksanakan bersama-sama sahabat yang mulia.

Sekian.Wassalam."

Kerjasama Dengan Mawi Dalam Bidang Seni:
"Saya kadang-kadang menjadi bertambah keliru. Suatu ketika kita boleh bekerjasama dengan DAP, mengukuhkan titik-titik persamaan dengan mereka atas nama ‘Tahaluf Siyasi’ dan pelbagai istilah dalam politik. Kita kenal siapa DAP. Mengapa kita tidak bekerjasama dengan Mawi dan memperkukuhkan titik-titik persamaan dengannya dalam bidang seni? Kalau kita menerima DAP, mengapa kita menolak Mawi? Bukankah Mawi lebih banyak baik daripada DAP dalam banyak hal. Politik itukan seni, jadi mengapa kesenian berpolitik diketepikan? Bukankah menjemput Mawi itu salah satu seni politik."

"Persoalannya, salahkah berhibur? Tentu tidak salah... namun hiburan yang bagaimana? Mentor saya memberikan analogi yang menarik. Katanya, nasyid umpama iklan. Iklan yang berkesan adalah iklan yang berjaya meningkatkan penjualan produk. Tetapi jika yang dikenang hanyalah iklan dan kecantikan paras rupa modelnya, sedangkan barangan tidak terjual malah tersisih dari pasaran, maka iklan itu sudah tersasar. Produk yang diiklankan, pelakon iklan yang naik saham!"

The Prophet's (PBUH) visit.

If Prophet Mohammad(sws) visited you
Just for a day or two,
If he came unexpectedly,
I wonder what you'd do.

Oh I know you'd give your nicest room
To such an honored guest
And all the food you'd serve to him
Would be the very best.

And you would keep assuring him
You're glad to have him there
And having him in your own home
Is joy beyond compare.

But....

When you saw him coming
Did you meet him at the door?
With arms outstretched in welcome
To your heavenly visitor.

Or would you have to change your clothes
Before you let him in?
Or hide some magazines and put
The Qura'an where they had been?

Would you still watch X–Rated movies
On your TV set?
Or would you rush to switch it off
Before he gets upset?

Would you turn off the radio
And hope you hadn't heard,
And wish you hadn't uttered
That last, loud hasty word?

Would you hide your worldly past times?
And, instead, take Hadith books out?
Could you let him walk right in?
Or would you rush about?

And I wonder, if the Prophet
Spent a day or two with you
Would you go right on doing the things
You always do?

Would you go right on saying the things
That you always say?
Would life for you continue 
As it does from day to day?

Would your family conversation
Keep up its usual pace?
Or would you find it hard after each meal to thank
Your Lord with grace?

Would you keep up each prayer
Without putting on a frown?
And would you always jump up early
For the prayers at dawn?

Would you waste your precious, precious time
Reading the things you read?
And let him know the things on which
Your mind and spirit feed?

Would you take the Prophet with you 
Every where you plan to go?
Or would you change your plans
Just for a day or so?

Would you be very glad to have him meet
Your very closest friends 
Or would hope they would stay away
Until his visit ends?

Would you be very glad to have him stay
Forever on and on
Or would you sigh with great relief
When he, at last, was gone?

It would be interesting to know 
The things you would do
If Prophet Mohammad in person 
Came to visit you.

“And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, ‘Read this, I pray thee’ and he saith, ‘I am not learned.’” (Isaiah 29:12)

This amazingly coincides with how Muhammad (peace be upon him) received the first revelation:

“…till Truth came upon him while he was in the cave of Hira'. There came to him the angel and said, ‘Read,’ to which he replied, ‘I do not know how to read.’ He took hold of me (the Messenger said) and pressed me, till I was hard pressed; thereafter he let me off and said, ‘Read.’ I said, ‘I do not know how to read.’ He then again took hold of me and pressed me for the second time till I was hard pressed and then let me off and said, ‘Read,’ to which I replied, ‘I do not know how to read.’ He took hold of me and pressed me for the third time, till I was hard pressed and then let me go and said: *{Read in the name of your Lord Who created, created man from a clot of blood. Recite. And your Most Bountiful Lord is He Who taught the use of pen, taught man what he knew not}* Then the Prophet returned therewith, his heart was trembling…” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari.)
